Santa Gertrudis Breeders International (SGBI) has moved into a new headquarters building on the historic King Ranch. The first Board of Directors meeting and an Open home celebration was held Saturday, October 31 in the new building just inside the main ranch entrance.

After six consecutive years of record breaking sales totals, coupled with a sluggish economy, it was a bit of a disappointment that the McMullen County Jr. Livestock Show did not reach the total sales marks of the past two years. But, it was still considered a pretty good year.
